Pinching with the Ancients

An exploration of classical vessel forms, using pinch and coil techniques. Course will incorporate pinch and coil demonstrations, and a multi-cultural introduction to ancient pottery forms, including: Mesopotamian, Greco-Roman, Persian, Egyptian, Jomon (Ancient Japanese), Wari and Moche (both Ancient Peruvian), and Pre-Puebloan/Anasazi. Course is open to all levels of students interested in learning or advancing pinch and coil work.
