Two-Day Workshop
Wood-firing Experience
Experience the magic of woodfiring in Adamah’s newly finished small kiln! Over two immersive days, you’ll learn how to prepare, load, and fire pieces in a wood kiln, exploring the unique textures, colors, and effects that only wood ash and flame can create.
The workshop will cover kiln preparation, stacking strategies, and firing techniques to help you get the most out of your pieces. You’ll also learn about how form, glaze, and placement interact with the unpredictable beauty of wood firing. Participants are encouraged to bring 15–25 bisque-fired pieces — from mugs to bowls — to be included in the kiln. The instructor will guide placement to ensure each artist’s work gets a fair share of the fire.
Join us for a hands-on, sensory-rich experience that combines technique, experimentation, and the thrill of working with fire.
