One-Day Workshop

Raku Firing

Discover the excitement and unpredictability of Raku in this hands-on, one-day workshop at Adamah! Raku firing is a fast, dramatic process that produces unique textures, crackles, and colors you can’t achieve in traditional kilns.

Throughout the day, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Raku — from glazing techniques to firing and post-firing reduction in combustible materials. You’ll experience the thrill of removing hot pieces from the kiln and watching the transformation happen right before your eyes.

Materials to Bring: Please bring 5–10 bisque-fired pieces to glaze and fire.

All clay and basic tools are provided. This workshop is perfect for beginners curious about Raku as well as experienced makers looking to explore a fast, experimental firing method. Come enjoy a day of hands-on creativity, smoke, fire, and unexpected beauty at Adamah Art Studios!
