Fused & Found: Exploring Glass and Mixed Media

Join us for a week-long immersive retreat that celebrates the endless possibilities of glass fusing and found-object art. Throughout the week, you’ll explore a wide range of fusing techniques—tack, full, and contour fusing, as well as slumping, kiln carving, frit painting, and the use of stringers, confetti, and dichroic accents. Learn how to transform raw glass into luminous, dimensional works of art.

We’ll also experiment with integrating found objects, using shape, balance, and contrast to spark unexpected design ideas. Through demonstrations, guided studio time, and plenty of hands-on exploration, you’ll create a series of test tiles, samples, and small fused components. By the end of the week, you’ll bring everything together to design and assemble your own one-of-a-kind kinetic mobile—an art piece that captures light, movement, and your personal creative journey.
