About the Workshop
In this 5-day, 12-hour workshop, you will create a foldable decorative box and make four styles of Japanese stab binding books to fit in the box. You will also learn the Cyanotype process. Cyanotypes are a historic camera-less photography process that uses the sun to expose the prints and create beautiful imagery. Your cyanotype prints may become the covers for your stab binding books or be small treasures that fit in your box.
Handmade decorative artist boxes and books provide endless possibilities for journals, presenting photographs and mementos, and can be works of art in and of themselves.
Guided instruction provides you with hands-on practice. All skill levels are welcome.
